Festival Pirineos Sur

Pirineos Sur is a musical and cultural festival that is held annually in the village of Lanuza. It offers concerts, exhibitions, workshops, markets and parades that are held during two weeks.
The Festival is located in the village of Lanuza, a few kilometers from Sallent de Gallego. The floating stage is set in Pantano de Lanuza, on the mountainside. The place is entirely surrounded by the Pyrenees with its stunning natural beauty.

Festival Castillo de Ainsa

Over the last twenty years, the Festival Castilllo de Ainsa has become one the most important musical events in Aragon.
The Festival offers different performances and musical proposals, and the possibility to discover one of the most beautiful and well preserved medieval towns in the area.

Carnaval de Bielsa

Bielsa Carnival is the most important festival held in the village of Bielsa. It has been held continuously since ancient times. The characters and costumes are exactly as they used to be at the beginning of the last century.
The Carnival starts after Christmas. Before San Antón, on January, 17th, people start making the costumes and the “goluchos” (typical ancient characters) goes from house to house announcing the carnival.

La Morisma and Ainsa Medieval Market

Ainsa celebrates an outstanding medieval market during the last weekend of August or the first weekend of September, biennially, during even years.
All even years, during the last weekend of August or the first weekend of September, a medieval market is installed in the old village of Ainsa. Everything is a trip to the middle Ages: the streets, the houses, the general atmosphere, the live music.
During the same days, there is a popular show commemorating the battle in which the Christians reconquested Ainsa from the Muslins in the year 724. It takes place in Plaza Mayor and it is called La Morisma.

Navatas descent, Rio Cinca

It is celebrated the closest weekend to May, 22th. This is a festival that recreates the traditional way in which the logs were transported in ancient times down the Cinca River from the Pyrenees to Tortosa, by the Mediterranean Sea. Nowadays, the logs are transported from the village of Laspuña to Ainsa.
On the occasion, there are also various events in Ainsa: exhibitions, lectures, visits to the museum, canoe and kayak descents, etc.

Espiello, Ethnographic Documentary Festival

It is celebrated in Boltaña during April. It is the only festival with this specialization in the country. It consists of an international ethnographic documentary competition among different activities related to anthropology.
Espiello Ethnographic Documentary Festival is a reference in its field and the only one held in Spain.
